Orano TN is seeking a Proposal Manager for the Columbia, MD, office to support the Nuclear Material Back End solutions business line but may from time-to-time support proposals for Transportation, Logistics, and Packages Product Line focusing on the Front-End of the fuel cycle. 


Major Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and qualify opportunities, including development of teaming and capture strategy 
  • Produce proposal outlines, schedules, compliance matrix, and instructions for creating a proposal that meets the customer requirements and leads proposal efforts from strategy to pricing to contract closure. 
  • Provide leadership and instructions to relevant SMEs in support of proposal writing 
  • Solicit all necessary costing information from the necessary stakeholders involved – i.e., Project Management, 3rd party companies, Engineering, QA, Legal, Finance, and other Orano divisions 
  • Develop and grow client relationships 
  • Build strategic relationships with industry teaming partners 
  • Lead proposal strategy and win theme development in coordination with the VP of Sales and Product line managers objectives 
  • Assess competition and potential markets consistent with company growth strategy, including research and analysis of business opportunities 
  • Develop or assist in developing the business strategies to enhance relationships and sales revenue in line with the VP of Sales and Product line managers strategic objectives 
  • Develop formal presentations for senior management review and approval in proposal process Interface with subject matter experts in coordinating proposal documents 
  • Consolidate responses from multiple authors/reviewers and ensure proposal message is clear throughout 
  • Perform desktop publishing in MS Word, and other tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, MS PowerPoint) to ensure proposal documents are properly formatted, compliant with solicitation requirements, easy to read, and visually appealing.

Please Note: The provided salary information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations. 

Salary range annually: $145,000-$175,000

Requirements

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this   opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position. 

  • BA/BS in related technical, contracts, or management field 
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, technical writing, or similar role 
  • 10+ years of experience designing and producing RFP responses for commercial market, including designing, planning, and delivering content solutions that meet the needs of technical business customers 
  • A Proven track record of business development in the nuclear industry 
  • Familiarity with the nuclear fuel cycle 
  • Fabrication project management experience 
  • Technical and proposal writing skills 
  • Ability to develop excel worksheets and costing files 
  • Comfortable presenting to Executives both internally and externally 
  • Organized and Process oriented 
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience leading proposal volumes and/or performing as a writer on proposals 
  • Experience working within Microsoft SharePoint and Teams is desired. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Company products and services and complex technical requirements 
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
