  • Code and Regulatory Compliance — Interpret and apply NFPA codes, IBC/IFC, and nuclear‑industry fire protection requirements; support licensing and regulatory documentation.
  • Performance‑based Fire Modeling — Use FDS, PyroSim, and egress modeling tools to evaluate fire scenarios, smoke movement, and evacuation strategies.
  • Facility Inspections and Audits — Conduct inspections of fire pumps, sprinklers, alarms, extinguishing systems, and facility fire barriers; document findings and corrective actions.
  • Emergency Preparedness Support — Contribute to fire response planning, drills, and training for operations and emergency teams.
  • Incident Investigation — Participate in root‑cause analyses and develop engineering recommendations following fire‑related events.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration — Work closely with nuclear safety engineers, chemical engineers, operations managers, and external regulators.
