About Orano

Join our team to help meet current and future challenges to build the clean energy world of tomorrow. By joining the Orano Group, you will be a part of a leading international player in the nuclear industry. Our strengths? Across the entire fuel cycle, we have extensive expertise in cutting-edge technologies, safe, high value-added products and services, and a strong capacity for innovation.

Overview

Step into a career-defining opportunity with Orano USA, a global leader in nuclear innovation, as we launch Project IKE—a cutting-edge uranium enrichment facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As Business Support Assistant, you’ll be at the forefront of building one of the most advanced clean energy infrastructures in the country.

This isn't just another Cybersecurity SME role. You'll serve as the cybersecurity technical authority for Project IKE, leading the design, implementation, and sustainment of a comprehensive cybersecurity program for a next-generation uranium enrichment facility. From enterprise IT to industrial control systems and operational technology, your work will be critical to protecting sensitive nuclear information, safety systems, and mission-critical operations — all in service of a multi-billion-dollar facility that will power America's energy independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the cybersecurity reference architecture for IT, OT, and ICS environments, leading secure network segmentation strategies including zones, conduits, data diodes, and zero trust principles
  • Develop system security requirements for plant systems, digital instrumentation & control (I&C), and support infrastructure, ensuring secure integration of vendor systems, EPC deliverables, and site digital platforms
  • Design and oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities, implementing continuous monitoring for IT and OT networks including anomaly detection and log aggregation
  • Define incident response playbooks tailored to nuclear and industrial environments, and coordinate cyber incident response with plant operations, safety, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Establish a risk-based vulnerability management program for IT and OT assets, defining patch management strategies compatible with safety-critical and high-availability systems
  • Conduct threat modeling, support secure configuration baselines, and oversee periodic security assessments, penetration testing, and supply chain risk reviews
  • Lead compliance with applicable standards and regulations, including 10 CFR 73.54, RG 5.71, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82, NIST SP 800-53/800-171, TEMPEST, and NEI cybersecurity guidance
  • Develop and maintain the Cybersecurity Plan, policies, procedures, and support documentation, and support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions
  • Interface with engineering, I&C, IT, physical security, safety, and licensing teams, providing cybersecurity requirements to EPC contractors and technology vendors
  • Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and support long-term cybersecurity sustainment, governance, and workforce development

  • Expertise in OT network segmentation, secure remote access, monitoring, and asset inventory
  • Experience with vulnerability management and patch governance in safety-critical systems
  • Familiarity with NRC, NIST, TEMPEST, NEI, or similar regulatory frameworks
  • Skilled in compliance programs, audits, and regulatory inspections
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage senior stakeholders with clarity and technical authority
  • Experience with nuclear facilities, enrichment technology, or power plants preferred
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, OT monitoring, and passive detection tools preferred
