Join our team to help meet current and future challenges to build the clean energy world of tomorrow. By joining the Orano Group, you will be a part of a leading international player in the nuclear industry. Our strengths? Across the entire fuel cycle, we have extensive expertise in cutting-edge technologies, safe, high value-added products and services, and a strong capacity for innovation.

Overview

Step into a career-defining opportunity with Orano USA, a global leader in nuclear innovation, as we launch Project IKE—a cutting-edge uranium enrichment facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. As Area Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of building one of the most advanced clean energy infrastructures in the country.

This isn't just another Area Project Manager role. You'll work alongside the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Project Manager. As the project moves through detailed design, procurement, and construction, your responsibilities will be to manage defined scopes of work within the EPC contract for a multi-billion-dollar facility that will power America's energy independence. You will oversee specific scopes such as process systems or facility buildings—from detailed design through procurement and construction. Reporting to the EPC Project Manager, you will track physical progress, manage contractual obligations, and coordinate with a matrixed organization to deliver its scope safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is essential to maintaining accountability and performance across diverse technical areas.

Orano plans to hire at least two Area PMs initially, expanding to as many as five as the project progresses.

If you’re ready to lead with purpose, solve big engineering challenges, and leave a legacy in sustainable energy—Project IKE is calling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a defined scope area within the EPC contract, coordinating with matrixed resources across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Apply Orano project and contract management principles to meet scope goals on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety, licensing, permitting, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders including the EPC Project Manager, Orano leadership, IKE staff, regulators, and the EPC Contractor.
  • Support consistent design and construction management processes across multiple sites in a Progressive DesignBuild environment.
  • Develop solutions to technical and contractual challenges to maintain EPC progress.
  • Escalate issues and recommend solutions when impacts extend beyond assigned scope.
  • Track schedule, cost, scope, and performance metrics; monitor safety, quality, and risk indicators; and provide clear reporting.
  • Collaborate across internal divisions and provide leadership to maintain scopearea budget performance.
  • Lead integrated risk analysis, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risks within Orano’s corporate framework.
  • Assess scope needs, identify required resources, and coordinate with resource managers to meet performance targets.
