Warehouse Person

(McClean Lake)

 

*Priority will be given to qualified Athabasca residents

 

Join our team at McClean Lake and take on a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse! Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll ensure that materials are properly handled and distributed. You’ll assist with stock coding, conduct equipment checks, and operate warehouse machinery. Responsibilities include:  

  • Issuing of material from inventory
  • Handling/management and distribution of all materials for shipping and receiving 
  • Customer Service 
  • Daily equipment checks and fuel checks
  • Stock coding new items
  • Proper placement of inventory and direct charge materials
  • Physical inventory - cycle counts 
  • Keeping a clean work area
  • Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture
  • Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures
  • Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Safety and Security, Team Spirit and Cohesion, Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction, Ethics, Transparency and Dialogue, Respect and People Development

 

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

  • Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s north (RSN). Priority will be given to Athabasca residents
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, supplemented by previous employment in warehousing mechanical parts
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 or Northern Class 5 Driver’s License
  • A Class 1A License is considered an asset
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Successfully pass the Transportation of Dangerous Goods exam
  • Demonstrated proficient computer skills; experience with MicroSoft Excel is an asset
  • SAP knowledge is considered an asset
  • Must be able to work with other departments to ensure a productive work flow
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently with ability to multitask effectively
  • Must have good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks on an ongoing basis and keep organized
  • May be required to complete a skills assessment for future career development

 

Work Location & Schedule:  

  • McClean Lake
  • 14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
  • Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
  • This position is physically demanding, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (days and nights)

 

Wage Rate:

Starting at $44.57 per hour

Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.

 

As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks. 

 

Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.
