Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll ensure an effective project delivery, striving to achieve established goals and objectives to time, cost and quality. 

The Project Manager role will be undertaken by a SQEP resource allowing a single point of management contact with customer.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the successful delivery of a Portfolio of projects of varying value and complexity.
  • Ensuring successful financial performance and risk management. 
  • Managing/supporting customer/stakeholder group through reviews and progress meetings. 
  • Managing negotiations with customer/stakeholder/sub-contractor. 
  • Driving efficiency and best practice, aligning local processes and procedures as possible. 
  • Identifying issues, concerns that either have the potential or will impact the project baseline, and implementing effective risk mitigation stratgies.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Have a degree in Project Management or relevant field with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager on a Nuclear site or highly regulated site.
  • Understand the principles and practices of planning, risk and cost management at program and project levels. 
  • Have awareness of the stage-gate principles of project delivery. 
  • Understand the techniques for risk management. 

Skills

  •  Ability to confidently liaise with external stakeholders and team members, both oral and written. 
  •  Ability to independently seek out or develop one’s own answer to challenging technical questions.
  • Ability to organise one’s own time and the time of others to ensure internal / external deadlines are achieved and Client expectations are exceeded.


Additional

The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process. Offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted. 

Close working relationships with other Orano sites and client sites may be required, which necessitates regular travel to those sites (dependent upon project & client requirements).
