As HVAC Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of building one of the most advanced clean energy infrastructures in the country.

This isn’t just another HVAC role. You’ll be This role involves the design and analysis of HVAC systems for nuclear facilities, ensuring environmental control and system reliability. Under general supervision and reporting to the HVAC Engineering Lead, you will contribute to system performance, safety, and regulatory compliance for a multi-billion-dollar facility that will power America’s energy independence. From precision cooling for high-tech centrifuge equipment to large-scale ventilation systems that meet rigorous nuclear standards, your expertise will shape the backbone of a transformative project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC systems including air handling, filtration, and exhaust systems.
  • Perform load calculations and select equipment.
  • Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, DOE, and nuclear HVAC standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure integrated design.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical documentation.


This position requires access to classified national security information.  In accordance with U.S. government regulations governing such access, only U.S. citizens (natural born or naturalized) are eligible for a security clearance.  Applicants must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a clearance to access classified national security information. 

This position requires access to information subject to export controls under the Department of Energy regulations at 10 C.F.R. Part 810 involving exports of nuclear technology and assistance, and the Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Qualified applicants must not be a “foreign national” under Part 810 or a “foreign person” under the EAR. Specifically, qualified applicants must be a: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise a Protected Individual (including refugees or asylees).”

Requirements

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.


  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, plus 2–3 years of experience.
  • Advanced degrees or PE license may substitute for experience or education.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HVAC systems in nuclear or high containment environments.
  • Proficiency in HVAC modeling tools (e.g., TRACE 700, HAP).
