Warehouse Person (Experienced)

(McClean Lake)

 

*Priority will be given to qualified Athabasca residents

 

Join our team at McClean Lake and take on a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse! Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for receiving, and managing inventory, ensuring that materials are properly handled and distributed. You’ll oversee stock coding, conduct equipment checks, and operate warehouse machinery. Responsibilities include:  

  • All handling, management and distribution requirements related to the shipping and receiving of materials 
  • Issuing of material from inventory and electronic updating of material records 
  • Perform all necessary stock coding requirements for new items
  • Ensure proper placement of inventory and direct charge materials
  • Perform daily fixed and mobile equipment checks as required
  • Operate warehouse equipment including telehandler, forklift and semi-truck
  • Provide high level of customer service to site personnel
  • Provide all necessary support to progress inventory optimization initiatives
  • Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture
  • Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures
  • Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Safety and Security, Team Spirit and Cohesion, Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction, Ethics, Transparency and Dialogue, Respect and People Development

 

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

  • Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN). Athabasca residents will be given priority.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial warehouse environment
  • Must have at least an intermediate skill level using Excel and SAP
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in the operation of mobile equipment
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • A Class 1A License is considered an asset
  • Must be able to work effectively with members of other departments and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Must be highly dependable and able to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong ability to multitask effectively and stay organized
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail with strong capacity to deal with numerical information
  • A skills assessment may be required for further career development

 

Work Location & Schedule:  

  • McClean Lake
  • 14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
  • Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
  • This position is physically demanding, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (days and nights)

As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks. 

 

Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.
