Overview

As Export Control Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of building one of the most advanced clean energy infrastructures in the country.

This isn't just another Export Control Officer role. You'll lead export control and trade compliance activities across all phases of the IKE Project. Your responsibilities will be to ensure full compliance with U.S. regulations, protect sensitive technologies, and guide project teams and major contractors in meeting all export control obligations of a multi-billion-dollar facility that will power America's energy independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the project’s Export Control and Trade Compliance Program in alignment with U.S. regulations and Orano policies.
  • Ensure compliance with 10 CFR Part 810, EAR, NRC and DOE requirements, and nuclearspecific export controls.
  • Identify, classify, and control exportcontrolled data, software, equipment, and technology across engineering, procurement,
  • construction, and commissioning.
  • Lead export licensing activities, including preparation, submission, tracking, and compliance with license conditions.
  • Support procurement by reviewing vendor qualifications, contract language, technology transfers, and crossborder transactions.
  • Maintain required export control documentation and records.
  • Provide guidance on deemed exports, national foreign access, site access controls, and Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits; recommend and track corrective actions.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs for project teams and contractors.
  • Serve as the primary interface with internal stakeholders and U.S. regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update project procedures accordingly.
Profil souhaité

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, International Trade, Law, Business, Supply Chain, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10–12+ years of experience in export control, trade compliance, or regulatory compliance, ideally in nuclear, defense, or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of 10 CFR Part 810, EAR, and nuclearrelated export controls.
  • Experience developing TCPs and managing deemed export requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulations into practical controls.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple licensing and compliance activities.
  • Experience supporting large, multidiscipline or highsecurity projects.
  • Familiarity with EPC contracting and international supply chains.
  • Professional certifications (ECoP, CES, CUSECO, etc.) preferred.


 

This position requires access to classified national security information.  In accordance with U.S. government regulations governing such access, only U.S. citizens (natural born or naturalized) are eligible for a security clearance.  Applicants must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a clearance to access classified national security information.

This position requires access to information subject to export controls under the Department of Energy regulations at 10 C.F.R. Part 810 involving exports of nuclear technology and assistance, and the Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Qualified applicants must not be a “foreign national” under Part 810 or a “foreign person” under the EAR. Specifically, qualified applicants must be a: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise a Protected Individual (including refugees or asylees).”
